FCP 100 Introducing Final Cut Pro:
Editing Professional Video
This one-day hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. In this course you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Learn to mark and edit clips in the timeline as well as trimming and other editing features.
This course is designed for the beginner looking to learn the basics of Final Cut Pro.
FCP 101 An Introduction to Final Cut Pro: Editing Professional Video
This three-day hands-on course takes students into the editing environment using Final Cut Pro HD. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.
This course is designed for those who want to learn to edit professional quality video using Final Cut Pro.
FCP 200 A Comprehensive Study of Final Cut Pro: Editing Professional Video
This five-day comprehensive and immersive course highlights all of the key features of Final Cut Pro 5. Topics include basic setup, customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation using Soundtrack, title creation using LiveType and final output. As well as time re-map, motion titles changing clip speed, finishing and output.
This course is designed for those who want to familiarize themselves with the entire feature set of Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack and LiveType. Students will learn to effectively take a project from concept to completion.
FCP 300 Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Pro HD to Final Cut Pro: Editing Professional Video
This one-day course is designed for current Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Pro HD users looking to learn Final Cut Pro HD features and functionality, as well as to be introduced to Soundtrack for audio creation and LiveType for animated titles.
FCP 350: Advanced Finishing Techniques in Final Cut Pro
Designed for experienced users or those wishing to increase their overall Final Cut Pro knowledge, this five day hands-on course covers advanced trimming techniques, color keying, color correction, media management, audio finishing, advanced motion graphics and compositing using LiveType, and creating a professional score using SoundTrack Pro. Instruction also covers tips, tricks, and other timesaving secrets that allow participants to become more efficient and productive using this powerful program.
This course is designed for experienced Final Cut Pro users who wish to increase their skill level through learning the advanced features and functionality of Final Cut Pro

FCP 301: Advanced Editing and Effects
For those interested in becoming “power users” this three-day module will cover advanced trimming techniques in the context of real-world editing styles – from cutting a dramatic scene to editing a documentary and a music video. All of Final Cut Pro’s powerful trimming tools are explored. On day two, students will cover advanced compositing techniques, chroma keying, composite modes and nesting.
FCP 302: LiveType and Soundtrack
In this one-day module students will take their LiveType and Soundtrack Pro skills to the next level. Students will create several projects including a DVD motion menu and show intro in LiveType then score a 60 second promo from scratch using Soundtrack Pro.
FCP 303: Color Correction
This one day module focuses on the professional approach to color correction. Working with several real-world projects, students will learn how to properly read the video scopes, adjust contrast, fix color balance problems, and achieved special effects using Final Cut Pro’s powerful 3-way color corrector.
ST 101: An Overview of Soundtrack Pro
This one day hands-on course introduces students to the features and interface of Soundtrack Pro. In this comprehensive training course students will learn to arrange and score music using Soundtrack Proand the library of more than 4000 royalty-free Apple loops that is included with the software. This course provides practical, professional techniques to add professional quality music and sound effects to video and multi-media projects. This course requires no prior music experience, and is designed for the musical novice and the seasoned composer. Students will learn how to use Soundtrack for a variety of real-world scenarios including arranging and mixing a complete song from scratch, scoring music to a video track, building background music for a DVD, and creating music for a web site and Flash presentation. Students will also learn how to record loops directly into the Timeline, and use the companion Soundtrack Pro Loop utility to tag and organize audio files.
DVDSP 101: Overview of DVD Studio Pro
This two day hands-on course delves into the world of DVD authoring using DVD Studio Pro. In this comprehensive course students will learn everything they need to create a professional DVD title. This course guides students through every aspect of DVD authoring, from initial storyboarding to burning and replication. Using compelling media and a real-world production workflow, students will learn how to create amazing MPEG 2 video with Compressor as well as create eye-popping motion menus directly in DVD Studio Pro. Students will also “author” a DVD by creating buttons, interactive links, slideshows, playlists and even adding alternate audio stream and camera angles.
This course is designed for those that want to learn the basics of how to author professional quality DVDs using DVD Studio Pro.
Motion 101: An Overview of Motion
This two day course provides a comprehensive overview of Motion, Apple’s real-time design motion graphics application. The course covers interface fundamentals, particles, blend modes, layer organization, fundamental multi-layer editing techniques and advanced text effects.
This course is designed for those students who wish to learn the fundamentals and functionality of Motion.
Motion 200: An Introduction to Motion for motion graphics design
This three day hands-on course will familiarize students with Motion, Apple’s revolutionary software for motion graphics design. The course comprehensively covers working with Motion’s Real-Time Design engine and interface, behavior-based animation, parameter behaviors, blend modes, advanced particle system design, advanced title animation, working with templates, chroma key techniques, masking methods, DVD motion menu design, tablet-driven gesture UI techniques, working with audio, keyframing, and integration with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. Emphasis is placed on real-world projects and design technique.
This course is designed both for those entering the motion graphics Field and those migrating from other motion graphics design software.
Shake 101: An Overview of Shake
This five day hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Shake. Using visual effects shots from major motion pictures, students will learn the process of integrating computer-generated elements with live action photography using motion tracking and color matching tools, as well as utilizing keying techniques to place blue and green screen shots against background plates. Most importantly, learn to create multi-layer composites using Shake’s Node tree organizational structure.
This class is designed for those wanting to learn compositing and visual effects using Shake.
Logic 101: An Introduction to Logic Express and Logic Pro
This three day hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic user interface of Logic Pro, as well as how to create a customized audio and midi configuration that will seamlessly integrate with their own personal production studio. Students will create their own song using Logic Pro’s comprehensive array of software instruments, Apple Loops and DSP effects. In depth lessons will cover MIDI and audio recording, streamlined editing and arrangement techniques, user defined key commands, automation, scoring to picture and surround mixing. This class is designed for those that want to learn music production and composition using Logic Pro.

Logic 301: Advanced Techniques in Logic Pro
This three day course takes you through Logic’s powerful advanced features covering everything from production, editing, and mixing, to notation and scoring to picture. Starting with advanced setup, this course covers everything from production, editing, and mixing to scoring and composition. Throughout the class professional secrets are revealed regarding how to streamline production workflow, accelerate editing tasks, effectively manage takes, and construct a mix that will meet the most exacting standards. You’ll discover powerful techniques for multi-track recording and explore the limitless potential of Logic’s audio instruments, including the revolutionary Sculpture, a new addition to Logic Pro.
